Update

actual version: 5.301.27

Important note:

Tank Designer® is an engineering software that is based on laws, standards, guidelines and technical knowledge. For liability reasons, we are committed to keep it updated as far as possible. If changes are released or we find bugs in software, it must be updated. Older versions will not meet the state of the art and are, therefore, invalid from the date of release of the new version. These older versions may no longer be used or delivered by us. If you still want to use these invalid versions further, then please make a backup copy of the current demo version. This serves as a backup in case the version you recently purchased is no longer available on CD or on the Internet as an update or demo Version.

If you have individualized your data in steel profiles:

Before you download and install the new version the first time (only the initial update):

  1. Make a backup copy of your database: td_tab.accde (C://user/public/Tankdesigner/td_tab.accde)
  2. Download and install TD V 5.3
  3. Make a backup copy of the new database: td_tab.accde (C://user/public/Tankdesigner/td_tab.accde)
  4. Copy the original (old-version) database into the new “Tankdesigner” register
  5. start the program and goto main menu “Database“, klick to “load / save data
  6. save” the individualized database
  7. click to execute –> you personal data are now saved for the future
  8. Leave the program completely (shut down)
  9. Exchange the old database (V 5.2) against the new (V 5.3)(C://user/public/Tankdesigner/td_tab.accde)
  10. Start the program again and goto “Database
  11. load” the one or two or three individualized databases (chose by tagging)
  12. click to execute –> Congratulation! Your personal data have bee transferred to the new version.
This step has to be realized only with the first update to V 5.3. For future updates you may just save / load the steel profile table without changing database file. Hence it is recommended to save your steel table after any change!
